Free Button Maker Giveaway - Click Here to Vote!

ABM is giving away a 2.25" Button Maker and supplies to the animal rescue our customers choose to help with launching their fund raising efforts!  Through your generous support of Buttons for Change and all of the great nominations you submitted, we are all able to help in bringing awareness to these wonderful groups.

We received a total of 12 nominations, and this is the 2nd of 3 groups of nominees. Once all 12 stories have been published, we will issue a link to the ballot so you can begin voting for your favorite!

Now, take a minute to look at this next list of very worthy candidates Their stories are told here, just as they were in their nomination, with all of the love and passion of their supporters shining through.

1)  Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue (http://www.queensbeststumpydogrescue.org/)

QBSDR is a rescue that saves special needs corgis and corgi mixes from California. They put great emphasis on rehabilitating dogs medically and managing their behaviors through training, while getting to know their needs and quirks in order to find them the right home.

Some people don't realize that corgis need special care when they make them their pet companion. So they abandon them at shelters. QBSDR finds these dogs and does their best to give them a "furever" home. They train them, get them the medical procedures they need, and do home checks for potential adoption.
They coordinate with SoCal Corgi Beach Day to outreach to potential pet parents and fundraise. They recently had a SCCBD with over 1000 corgis in Long Beach, CA.
2)  Colony Cats & Dogs (http://www.colonycats.org/)

I would like to nominate Colony Cats & Dogs of Ohio.  I have adopted several pets here and they do great work.  They are a non-profit, no-kill rescue group for hundreds of homeless companion animals (Cats, dogs and even a few pigs!).  Many animals come to them in need of medical care and they will always crowdfund to help these pets get the care they need and be ready for adoption into a new home.  I think this kit will go a long way in helping them raise much needed funds to save more animals.  Please consider Colony Cats & Dogs.

              Mistletoe      Schnitzel
3)  Dallas Wildlife Center (https://www.facebook.com/DallasWildlifeCenter/) -
When we received this nomination, they simply summed it up with "Dallas Wildlife Center....volunteer run, great place!"  Looking at the pictures on their Facebook page, we would tend to agree!  Orphaned and injured wildlife need to be given a fighting chance too and these amazing people are working hard to rehabilitate those sweet critters and get them back into their natural habitats as soon as possible.
Dallas Wildlife Center Bunny    Dallas Wildlife Center Raccoon     Dallas Wildlife Center Squirrels

I would like to nominate Catmandu of Carson City, NV for their outstanding efforts to rescue and find furrever homes for the kitties who pass through their doors.  They first built kitty condos to house the cats, but soon found that the cats love to roam free inside the cat building.  When you walk in the cat's quarters, you will be welcomed by several kitties for you cuddling pleasure.

Linda Buchanan is the 'momcat' and she is such a nice person to get this business started and has somehow kept it going for several years now just through donations.  I would love to have them receive a special reward for the effort of all the people and for the kitties.

So there you have it!  Your official listing of the round 2 nominees.  Be sure to keep an eye out for the 3rd and final group.  Once they are published, voting will begin!

Until next time, happy button making!
