Wedding Button Ideas to Make That Special Day Perfect!

The uses for wedding buttons are truly endless and with the season upon us, we turned to the amazingly creative minds in The Pinback Button Making Community to find the best of the best and we were not disappointed by the response!  From save the dates to reception, we have something for every step of the process and we are bringing them to you here to help make your special day button-tastic!

Let's start from the beginning - save the dates!  What is the most convenient way to make sure you don't forget an event?  Hang the reminder on your refrigerator.  How do you hang it on the refrigerator?  With a magnet of course!  Allan Blanchard submitted this amazingly easy idea.  All you need is a great shot from the happy couple's engagement photos and you have the perfect magnet and memento for all of the lucky invitation recipients.  Want to make it even more economical and space saving?  Make the actual button magnet the save the date!

When the time comes for those fun outings, like visiting bridal salons, shopping for the perfect accessories, checking out bakeries (yum!), smelling the flowers and looking for just the right decor, let everyone know just who you are with matching sets of pinback buttons for your entourage.  Susan Robison shared her adorably fun set with us in TPBMC and it has something for everyone to show their support of the future Mrs.!

 As the big day approaches, the festivities kick into high gear with bridal showers and of course bachelorette parties.  What better way to highlight the guest of honor than with a button corsage?  Cory Collins makes some of the most stunning examples you have ever seen.  They are true works of art that any bride would be proud to wear.  You can complete the set and make sure everyone is recognized as the special part of the party they are with matching buttons for the bridal party including everyone from the flower girl to the mother of the bride.  With a few pinback buttons, a little ribbon and some imagination you can create this breathtaking keepsake set! 

When it comes time for the rehearsal dinner, the options are limitless!  You can go with your theme to keep it traditional or add a little levity and let your personality shine!  A lot of work and a lot of people go into making the day perfect and they deserve to be recognized for their contributions.  With out of town guests, friends from both sides, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, the list goes on and on!  When we looked at options for name tag buttons at this important event, Kelly Bee provided plenty of laughs with her witty submission.  Susan Robison came through with traditionally romantic name badge buttons to match the event decor.  Whatever your taste, you can find a solution with buttons! 

Next comes the daunting task of arranging the seating chart.  Anyone who has done this can tell you how confusing it can get but you can make it both easy and beautiful with place card buttons!  Hillary Schuster's mastery of this task is breathtakingly beautiful and would compliment any event.   Using tent cards and assorted matching theme buttons, Hillary creates an elegant display that easily directs the guests to their table.  She doesn't forget the new Mr. & Mrs. either with special place cards for the sweetheart table making lasting treasures that will bring smiles for years to come. 

Finally, it's time to get to the party and what makes a party more perfect than party favors?  Again, a multitude of options await you with buttons!  There's magnets, mirrors, coasters, key chains, ornaments, thumbtacks, zipper pulls and air fresheners!  Not to mention, the good old-fashioned pinback.  The best way to make your guests happy?  Offer several and let them choose one (or two or three).   Melanie Basila (aka Twirly Bee) sent us a fantastic glass charm that will dress up any glassware!  She added a beautiful flat back button to a rhinestone band and viola!  Uber awesome!  Kelly Bee shared her adorably amusing hockey themed buttons.  Since she and her husband are huge fans and wed in a hockey arena, they were perfectly suited for the occasion! Kelly points out one of the best things about buttons.  Her guests didn't really all know each other so the funny buttons helped create conversations and bring people together.  Jessie Branum shared her key chains she made to celebrate an upcoming union.  What proud mom, dad or grandparent wouldn't love to have one of those?
